What the audit is
Cure53 is an independent security firm in Berlin. Its testers read an app's code and try to break it, the way an attacker would.
Their quote for Kryfo is €13,000 plus VAT, about €15,500 in all. The work is planned to start in January 2027.
Until the report is out, Kryfo has not been audited, and we won't say otherwise.
When the audit is done, we'll publish the full report, good and bad, along with what we changed because of it.
How to donate
Pick whichever suits you. The private ways come first. We add every donation to the bar by hand.
Donations made in the app, under Support, count toward this fund and the bar too.
Bitcoin through BTCPay
In Kryfo, open Support and pay with bitcoin. The invoice comes from our own BTCPay Server, reached over Tor, and isn't linked to your Kryfo identity. The payment itself is on the bitcoin blockchain, like any bitcoin payment.
Monero
Monero keeps the amount and both sides of the payment private. Send it from your wallet to this address:

You can also send to these addresses. Payments on these chains can be seen by anyone on the blockchain.

A one-time donation, with no account needed.
Card payments go through a payment company that sees your name. Crypto is the private option.
Card payments go to Marios directly until our fiscal host is set up.
Before you send, check that the address in your wallet matches the one here. The same addresses are in the app under Support, and in its source code.
If a grant covers it
If a grant ends up paying for this audit, your donation goes to the next one, for example a review of bridges, and to the servers Kryfo runs on.
Your privacy
A donation isn't linked to your Kryfo identity unless you choose to link it. The privacy policy has the details.
